She's not the messiah, she's a very naughty girl....

I had grandoise delusions earlier this week, on hearing I'd gained some 'followers'.

But I then realised that it's actually my blog being followed, not me, and that these 'followers' are none other than my fellow birder blogger mateys.

Thanks guys....I'd like to follow yours as well. How do I do that? Does this mean I'll get an email everytime you post a blog entry, saving valuable clicking seconds of my life?

A bit behind with blogging after the trip report, so just a little note about last weekend, plus a few photos in the post below.

A stroll around Upton Warren Flashes last Friday afternoon in the sunshine. Glad to see the water level back down since my last visit; 5 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 5 Snipe, 35 Curlew, a few Wigeon now, Teal, Shoveler, Buzzard and Kestrel. .

Mixed tit/warbler flock containing LT Tits, Goldcrests, Chiffers and Willow Warblers. Well worth checking these flocks this time of year. Cetti's Warbler and Bullfinch heard. Male Common Darters.

Concerningly we came across 2 Mink on a tree along the stream. Even more concerningly for the wildlife of UW there have been reports of dead Canada Geese and a trigger happy idiot shooting near the reserve at dusk. If you see anything, please inform the police and Worcs Wildlife Trust.

Had a wander round Ladywalk NR Sunday afternoon....2 GS Woodpeckers, Willow Tit and Reed Bunting on feeders along with common Tit & Finch Species. Also Chiffchaff, Goldcrest, Buzzard, Wigeon, Teal, Shoveler, 5 Little Grebe, c30 Cormorant. Lots of Common Darter Dragonflies also Comma and Red Admiral butterfly. Talking of idiots on nature reserves again, a dog ran towards us barking, this was a bit scary and on spotting the owners we ordered them to get it back on the lead, in fact get their dog off the nature reserve. And they look at us as if we're mad. Oiks.

Hi Kay. Id heard about the recent goings on at UW on BF. Will be interesting to see how it will play out and what is done about it. Theres a tab in the blogger dashboard that says 'blogs im following' and gives you the option to add a blog. Here you can also get recent entries on the ones that have been updated. Used it a couple of days now and must admit it is useful for seeing which bloggers posts ive not read yet.
